The world rests with the mannered best Or it crumbles and falls to dust

The world abides; for 'worthy' men its weight sustainWere it not so, 'twould fall to dust again

The (way of the) world subsists by contact with the good; if not, it would bury itself in the earth and perish

பண்பு உடையவரிடத்தில் பொருந்தியிருப்பதால் உலகம் உள்ளதாய் இயங்குகின்றது, அஃது இல்லையானால் மண்ணில் புகுந்து அழிந்து போகும்.
