Friendship's heart is freedom close; Wise men's duty is such to please

Familiar freedom friendship's very frame supplies;To be its savour sweet is duty of the wise

The constituents of friendship are (things done through) the right of intimacy; to be pleased with such a right is the duty of the wise

நட்பிற்க்கு உறுப்பாவது நண்பனுடைய உரிமைச் செயலாகும், அந்த உரிமைச் செயலுக்கு உடன்பட்டவராதல் சான்றோரின் கடமையாகும்.
